Full Album Stream: Life Abuse –Systemization

Metal

Sometimes a new band’s members’ résumés are just too long and confusing to sort out. Let’s just stay that new crusty hardcore quartet Life Abuse—Mark Telfian (vocals/guitar), Sean Doody (bass), Nate Wilson (guitar), Dan Barker (drums)—are lifers. And if you want a sample of their past exploit(ed)s, check this list out: Self Defense Family, The Oath, Male Patterns, Under Attack, Devoid of Faith, Libyans, End of A Year and Limp Wrist, just to name a few. Together for just a couple of years, their 10-song debut, Systemization, is a solid statement of intent, filled with short shocks of crust-fueled sonic outrage. Clearly, the foursome have found sympathetic musical partners in this new endeavor which balances metallic crush with D-beat savagery.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air, Systemization will be available on vinyl and digitally via Armageddon Label on October 4. Preorders in the US can be purchased here or here. In Europe, email Autoreverse Records here.

This is what vocalist/guitarist Mark Telfian had to say about recording the new record:

“We went to Dead Air in September of 2023 for a long weekend of recording with engineer Will Killingsworth who has a long history of recording bands that play this style. We knew he would be perfect to work with. All of us have worked with Will in the past at some point. It was a natural fit and very relaxed recording environment for us.”
