With Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist’s Alfredo 2 album arriving on Friday (Jul. 25), the duo release the accompanying video for their first single, “1995”.

Directed by Nick Walker, the gritty video takes place in Japan as Gibbs and Al set up shop inside a ramen restaurant where they conduct business with members of the organized crime syndicate Yakuza.

“Godfather Kane, I turned these sons to bastards / Belt to ass like Joseph Jackson / No relaxing, wrapping niggas in plastic,” raps Kane over Alchemist’s eerie beat. He continues, “Man, this shit crazy, how a nigga done went from nick rocks to wet whip / Gen Pop to Netflix / I was in the cell makin’ up a setlist for my next show, for my next lick / I was suicidal with a death wish.”

The music video follows the forthcoming project’s complimentary film of the same name. Pre-order Alfredo 2 here.
