Metal

Greetings, Decibel readers!

Hope you enjoy this week’s selection of the latest in heavy music. If you like death metal, there’s something here for you. If you like progressive and unusual black metal, there’s something here for you. If you like pizza, there’s something here for you. That should cover most of you.

Belushi Speed Ball – Stellkira

Ok, so usually I’m not a fan of “funny bands,” but I will an exception for anyone who makes a Berserk reference (“Griffith Did Literally Everything Wrong” lmao).

Sarcoughagus – Remnants

Righteously deadly old-school death metal. The vocals really make it, as they are absolutely devastating and anchor the entire experience. They’re the kind of vocals that make you grimace in delight.

SVNEATR – Never Return

Black metal that rips and tears, but also soars! This is probably the most heroic and progressive you could make black metal sound (unless you’re band is Windir, of course).

Terminal Nation – Echoes Of The Devil’s Den

Wanted to make sure I covered this one from last week. Lots of cool guest spots on this one, the band’s second full length.

Vestlindien – Verdande

I also don’t normally dig stuff this trippy, but I’ll make an exception for bands that remind me of Blut Aus Nord‘s Hallucinogen album and takes their sound in all sorts of directions.
