EuphoriaSeason 3’s penultimate episode, “Rain or Shine,” one of the show’s main characters faced a shocking fate, leaving fans to wonder if they’re dead and gone for good. Warning: Spoilers for Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7ahead!
Since Season 3 kicked off, Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) has been in a precarious predicament after a business arrangement left him in debt with Naz (Jack Topalian). Losing a toe twice and his wedding ring finger, things took a deadly turn in this supersized installment. Eager to get his cash, Naz went to Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), seeking funds from her, revealing that she had 72 hours to deliver the money.
The timeline had to do with the fact that Nate was buried on his construction site with an air hole, but without water; his hours were numbered. It turned out that the timeline didn’t mean much, though, because a rattlesnake had other plans as Nate begged for someone to save him, and the creature slithered down the tube.

Realizing the predicament he’d been put in, Nate began to scream inside his coffin enclosure, before the animal coiled to strike forward and bite him. While the bite appeared to be a confirmation of his fate, it was later revealed, when his grave was uncovered, that the rattlesnake did have deadly results.
Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) helped Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Cassie kill Naz, and pull Nate’s coffin up from the ground, but as they opened the lid, they discovered he was, in fact, long dead. The revelation is certainly a shock for the series as the first major onscreen death for a main character.
Now that Nate Jacobs is gone, though, what will Cassie and Maddy do to hide the messy crime scene they’ve become a part of? Tune into the finale to find out, and let us know what you thought of Nate’s shocking demise in the comments section below.
