Emanny Releases New Song ‘Sideways’

R&B

Emanny gives a preview of what to expect from his forthcoming project, Back In The Streets, with his latest song, “Sideways.”

The track is built over sparse guitar strums and a hypnotic beat produced by Nukez Muzik. It’s a well-paced production for Emanny to sing about how he doesn’t want to lead on his current interest, considering he doesn’t want to mix emotions that he isn’t feeling at present.

He sings, “Never should’ve stayed the night / Knew that I’d change your life / You was gon’ fall in love / And I don’t want to be that guy / Telling me you gon’ be alright / You know I can keep you satisfied / Just don’t let feelings get in the way / I just want to drown inside your waves.”

“I feel like ‘Sideways’ is a great reintroduction to my fan base that’s already anticipated me releasing new music but also a great record of presenting myself to new listeners,” Emanny explained. “They perhaps are unaware of my past works especially given the new climate sonically of R&B music.”

In recent years, Emanny released “Just A Phase” and “In Too Deep.” The same year he came out with the last cut, he joined Jadakiss for his song “Kisses to the Sky” with Rick Ross.

Earlier this year, before arriving with “Sideways,” Emanny appeared on Byrd StayLow’s nocturnal jam “7 AM.”

Emanny’s forthcoming EP Back In The Streets will be the follow-up to his 2019 release Black Heart, which featured the track “Think About Me” featuring Ivy Maria.
