Elhae and Xavier Omär have reunited for a new song titled “Favourite.” TAVE and Agajon produced it.
On the wonderfully romantic track, the two men reassure their partners about their importance in their lives, comparing them to no one else.
“Favourite” is the first collaboration between Elhae and Omär since “Sick of Playing,” which was featured on Elhae’s 2021 project, Aura III. It’s also Elhae’s first offering since July’s “Numb.”
Before that, Elhae independently released the EP Forgotten Flowers in March. The eight-track effort featured cameos from Big K.R.I.T. and Crush.
Regarding Forgotten Flowers, Elhae stated, “This project is a love letter to every single person that’s clicked play on an ELHAE song. No big budget. No single. I’ll let you guys determine that. It’s just me, you and the music now.”
Elhae toured Forgotten Flowers this summer as part of his The Forgotten Flowers Sessions. The tour concluded earlier this month.
In May, Omär unveiled “MAGIC!” his first offering of the year. Zyah Belle provided additional vocals to the song, co-produced by Sango and Kaelin Ellis.
Before last year ended, Omär enlisted Alex Isley to collaborate on “Peppermint Tea.”
A six-track EP titled b l u r r was released by Omär in July 2022, including the tracks “Feelings 4 You” and “Tarantino.”
In an exclusive interview with Rated R&B, Omär expressed his desired takeaway for listeners from b l u r r. “If any of these things are a moment in your life or it’s something that you can relate to, I just hope you connect to that. Even if it’s just one song, connect to that song and let it be something that helps you,” he stated.
Omär is preparing for a mini tour across North America. His From Near And Far: The September Sessions kicks off Sept. 6 in Phoenix and concludes Sept. 22 in Denver. Ticket information can be found on his official website.
