Drake has announced his first Australian tour in eight years, set to kick off in February next year – find out more below.

The Canadian rapper announced the tour, dubbed the Anita Max Wynn tour, during an appearance on xQc’s livestream Sunday night (November 24). The tour will begin on February 9 – notably the same day that his rival Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

“February 9, for anyone that’s watching from Australia – I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. I’m coming back to Australia, on tour. Funny enough, it’s called the Anita Max Wynn tour.”

“Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast… February 9 ’til like… March something.”

When asked why it’s taken eight years for his return Down Under, Drake said: “I don’t know, that makes me sound kinda crazy. I love it down there.”

So far, no concrete dates and venues have been announced for the tour, nor have ticketing details. It is also unclear if he will return to New Zealand, though the rapper said on stream that he won’t be going to “other places”, ruling out a tour across Asia.

Elsewhere during the stream, Drake shared an update on his upcoming album with  PARTYNEXTDOOR. The rapper first announced the album in August: “On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all,” he told fans towards the end of a concert. So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, [a] PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be waiting right there for you.”

Now, Drake’s said of the album: “Me and Party’s album is 75 percent done shout out to PX cooking right now. Album sounds incredible…This album is good; it’s the sound that people know and love us for.”

Drake has spent a significant portion of the year feuding with Kendrick Lamar – who this weekend surprise-released a new album, ‘GNX’. Over the course of their feud, the two rappers released several disses aimed at each other – with some of their disses dropping within days, and even hours, of the other’s.
