Southern metal supergroup Down have been busy working on a new record for a while now. They’ve gone on record saying that new record will be out later this year, but this isn’t about a new record. Instead, it’s about a remastered version of their 2007 album Over The Under that they’re putting out on June 19.
Originally released back in Fall 2007, the band’s third album came out in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and personal issues. Back in the day, we said the album felt like a “snapshot of a band doing what they do best, and doing it honestly and sincerely, egged on by unfortunate catastrophe.” It’s a heartfelt release that tapped into some real shit that’s 100% worth a listen.
This new version will not only feature remastered audio by Eric Koondel. It also marks the first time the album’s vinyl version will be officially released in the U.S. Oh and the digital and CD versions will include the bonus track “Invest In Fear”.
To mark the occasion, the band released the remastered version of “N.O.D.”, which you can check out below.
The remastered version of Over The Under will be released on June 19, but you can preorder your copy today.
