Danielle Ponder Shares New Song ‘Roll the Credits’

R&B

Emerging soul singer Danielle Ponder has released her new single “Roll The Credits” via Future Classic.

The song was produced by Ponder’s frequent collaborator Gianluca Buccellati, who has worked with other artists such as Lana Del Rey and Arlo Parks.

On “Roll The Credits,” Ponder calls on her Higher Power to help guide her through life’s obstacles. “Hold my head and saw the whole sky / I never felt so damn alive / And if there’s smoke then I’ll be water / If there’s fire I’ll be rain,” Ponder sings on the divine tune.

Ponder notes, “‘Roll The Credits’ is a song about spirituality in all of its forms and our ability to find God in all things if we are paying attention.”

“Roll The Credits” is Ponder’s first proper single since releasing her debut album, Some Of Us Are Brave, in 2022.

The eight-song project includes the title track and “So Long.” Both songs have more than one million streams on Spotify, with the latter tune nearing the two-million mark at 1.9 million plays.

Earlier this month, Ponder kicked off her spring/summer tour. Her upcoming stops in North America include New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix, San Fransisco and Montreal.

Ponder will also head overseas to play in Werchter, Belgium; Aix-les-Bains, France; and Rotterdam, Netherlands. The tour concludes Oct. 1 . Her full tour itinerary is available below.
