Ciara and Russell Wilson Welcome Third Baby

R&B

Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson have announced the birth of their new baby.

The couple shared the news in a joint post on Instagram. “Amora Princess Wilson. 9lbs 1oz. We Love You so much!” they wrote in a caption for a photo of their new bundle of joy.

Ciara’s last public appearance before giving birth was on Dec. 6 at The Color Purple world premiere in Los Angeles, California.

She wore an all-white Georges Hobeika couture suit that showed off her baby bump decorated with a gold leaf.

Ciara plays adult Nettie in the upcoming film, which premieres Dec. 25. Halle Bailey plays the younger Nellie.

Ciara and Russell first announced they were expecting their third child together in August. Ciara shared a video on social media, which showed a silhouette of her standing near a pool, showcasing her baby bump.

“You look at me like that again, we make another kid… You my heart I’m your rib,” Ciara wrote in the caption, which are lines from her song “How We Roll” with Chris Brown.

The song appears on her EP, CiCi, released Aug. 18 via her independent label Beauty Marks Entertainment.

“It was so much fun working with Breezy because we have been wanting to work together for some time. We are so proud of what we made together and most importantly the growth we have had as artists,” Ciara exclusively told Rated R&B.

“Even down to sharing laughs over us both having kids now, which was even funnier because I was pregnant on the video set. It’s been so sweet to see all the love the fans have been showing the song and video.”

As noted above, Amor is Ciara and Russell’s third child together. Ciara’s first-born son, Future, is with the rapper of the same name.
