With their Melanchronica in the horizon, Bas and The Hics release the forthcoming project’s latest offering “Erewhon” featuring Saba.
Anchored by The Hics’ soulful vocal arrangements, Saba lays down an introspective verse. “Ricochet the recipe, hope they pick up the pieces / Tried to turn a broken puzzle into something decent / Spent another dollar as if I don’t even need it / Hmm, as if that’s the only way to make a piece fit / Seven days later, but I haven’t shown weakness.”
Meanwhile, Bas brings some stellar bars. “I need a day off for prayer, all the ways I be sinnin’ / Tried to drown out my sorrows found out that they all be swimmin’ / I’m livin’ out my dreams like everyday’s a fantasy / I got some folks around the world that’s looking up to me.”
“Erewhon” is the follow-up to Bas and The Hics’ previous releases “Everyday Ppl” and the Ab-Soul- featured “Norbit“.
