Arin Ray has unveiled the official video for his track “Good Evening.”
The serene visual shows Ray spending quality time with his partner, surrounded by verdant trees.
“It’s always good to see the music come to life visually. Being this is a video I co-directed, it’s much more rewarding,” Ray tells Rated R&B.
“Good Evening” is the opening track to Ray’s Phases III EP, released last year on Interscope Records.
In an interview with Rated R&B, Ray shared that his mindset for this project was “to have fun, be creative and see what we could do.”
He added, “The biggest thing we tried to do was be a bit more intentional with the records. I wasn’t trying to be as progressive, like trying to push the sound and be super musical. But I still got to play with some cool vibes and give you some new feels.”
Phases III includes the lead single “Wait So Long,” produced by Tricky Stewart. “From the jump, we were like, ‘Okay, this might be single material,” Ray told Rated R&B. “I haven’t really had that sonic in a while — that type of song [or] that energy. It’s something about that record. It just spoke to us.”
On March 3, Ray will kick off Phases III Tour in Phoenix, Arizona. From there, he will perform in Vancouver, Portland, Oakland, Dallas, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Toronto and more. The tour will conclude April 12 in Denver, Colorado. Emerging singers Rosemarie and Raiche will join Ray at select stops.
