Sherri Shepherd bid an emotional goodbye to her talk show, Sherri, marking the end of an era after the final episode aired on Thursday, May 21.
On Friday, May 22, the talk show host took to Instagram with a video of herself standing next to empty, covered seats at the Sherri studio. A flashback of excited audience members cheering and jumping with excitement played. Shepherd then walked to her chair to look at it one last time before covering it again with a tarp. The clip ended with her grabbing suitcases and exiting the set.
“Family!!!! Thank you so much for all of the love and support over these last 4 years,” Shepherd captioned her update. “It was a bittersweet end to a life I got to know so well. But here is to new beginnings…if you thought you were sick of me before, just you wait.”
In the comments, fellow celebrities and fans alike showered Shepherd with well-wishes. Today co-host Al Roker wrote, “You will be missed, but this is just the end of one chapter in the Book Of Sherri that is still be written.”
Food Network star Kardea Brown declared, “The best is yet to come!!!”
