Sabrina Carpenter has shared a new collaborative version of ‘Please Please Please’ featuring Dolly Parton – listen to it below.
The singer teamed up with the country icon on the joint fresh take on hit single for the deluxe edition of Carpenter’s latest album ‘Short n’ Sweet’, which was released today (February 14).
“Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!!” Carpenter wrote on social media while sharing the revamped track. “I am so honoured to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me. ‘Short n’ Sweet’ deluxe is out now! Go watch and listen!!!!”
She added: “Love you forever @dollyparton 🤍🦋.”
The collab arrives with a black-and-white official video, in which the pair hit the open road together. They trade vocals as Carpenter takes the wheel and Parton sits in the passenger seat.
At one point, we see wads of cash flying out of the pickup before the duo are pursued by a police car. The camera then pans to a man who is tied up in the back with a bag over his head. Tune in here:
Elsewhere, Parton posted a clip of herself meeting with Carpenter. “You’ll be this old one day,” she jokingly told the ‘Espresso’ star. The ‘Jolene’ legend later teased Carpenter about the “dirty words” in her lyrics, with the new collaboration putting a clean spin on ‘Please Please Please’.
“Thank you for letting me do that,” Parton said. Carpenter replied: “Thank you for being you.” You can watch the video below.

The original version of ‘Please Please Please’ went to Number One in both the UK and US. It was recently nominated for Song Of The Year at the Grammys 2025, but ultimately lost out to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’.
However, Carpenter did take home two awards on the night: Best Pop Solo Performance (‘Espresso’) and Best Pop Vocal Album (‘Short n’ Sweet’).
Meanwhile, the singer is due to perform at next month’s BRITs 2025 where she will receive the prestigious Global Success award. Additionally, she is in the running for International Artist Of The Year and International Song Of The Year (‘Espresso’).
Carpenter will embark on the UK and European leg of her ‘Short n’ Sweet’ tour next month, before headlining BST Hyde Park in London this summer. Find any remaining tickets here (UK/Ireland).
She’ll also top the bill at Primavera Sound alongside Charli XCX and Chappell Roan in June.
In other news, Carpenter has won the praise of Madonna for her new Vogue magazine cover, after collaborating with the Queen Of Pop’s longtime photographer on the shoot.
