Craig David Releases New Song ‘SOS’: Listen

R&B

R&B veteran Craig David has released his new single “SOS” via Believe UK.

On the pop-leaning track, produced by Tré Jean-Marie, David expresses a desire to take a chance on love with a potential partner.

“I feel love and now I realize / I’m sendin’ out an SOS, an SOS / And I hope that you hear me tonight, come and save me,” he sings in the chorus.

Regarding “SOS,” David notes, “There’s a time in life when you come to a point of realization that all of the playing it safe, being cautious and guarded around opening our hearts up to love, doesn’t work. Even if we have been hurt before.”

David continues, “‘SOS’ is all about that moment of feeling vulnerable, yet ready and open to taking a risk, a leap of faith to let someone know you are finally ready to let love in, however scary it may feel.”

“SOS” is the follow-up to David’s uplifting single, “In Your Hands,” which was released in September 2024.

“‘In Your Hands’ is such an important song for me as I wanted to shine a light on how truly special we all are. Especially when we allow our inner child to play, that part of us that holds the true meaning and joy to life,” David explained.

Both tracks are expected to appear on David’s new album, which could be arriving sometime this year. When speaking about “In Your Hands” to Rated R&B, he said, “I’m thrilled to share this with my fans as we embark on my upcoming album.”

Craig David’s new album will follow his eighth album, 22, which was released in 2022.

In February, David will embark on the U.K. leg of his Commitment Tour with special guest Lemar. The arena tour kicks off Feb. 2 at First Direct Arena in Leeds, with additional stops in Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, and more. The tour wraps up Feb. 20 at The O2 in London.
