Q Parker Serenades His Wife Sharlinda in ‘Beg’ Music Video

R&B

R&B veteran Q Parker, formerly of 112, has unveiled the official music video for his single “BEG.”

The video opens with Q calling his real-life wife, Sharlinda Parker, on her way home from work. After she reveals she’s had a bad day, he assures her, “No stress. Just come on home. I got something planned for you.”

She arrives home to see her hubby standing outside with rose petals leading to the doorway and a glass of champagne waiting for her. Throughout the romantic clip, Q goes out of his way to make his wife feel special — even on the toughest of days.

BEG,” which stands for Bringing Endless Gratitude, is Q Parker’s first single in over a decade. He released his comeback single, produced by Blac Elvis, independently in August.

“We are in the BEGging season! Beg! Not because you did anything wrong, but just because you care, you love ’em, you value them, and do it every day,” Q Parker told Rated R&B.

“BEG” debuted on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Airplay chart dated for Sept. 21, 2024. By November, Q Parker earned his first top 10 as a solo act. At the time of this writing, “BEG” is No. 6 on the chart led by Mary J. Blige’s “You Ain’t The Only One.”

Before “BEG,” Q Parker released two collaborative tracks in 2020: “Made For” featuring Deitrick Haddon, Avery Wilson, and Eric Dawkins, and “I Need You.”

The latter song featured guest vocals from some of Parker’s musical friends, including Tank, Musiq Soulchild, Ginuwine, MAJOR., PJ Morton, Raheem DeVaughn, Bobby V, Jacquees, Montell Jordan, John P. Kee, Todd Dulaney, Jonathan McReynolds, Travis Greene, Eric Dawkins, Jason Nelson, Brian Courtney Wilson, and Byron Cage.

“Made For” and “I Need You” were intended to appear on Parker’s album, The Bridge Project: Brothers United. However, the project has not been released at this time.

In 2024, Parker teamed up with R&B vocal group The Shindellas on their “Think of Me Too (Remix)” and R&B crooner Jack Freeman on his “Feels Like Christmas (Remix)” along with RL of Next.

In other news, Q Parker will perform at City Winery Nashville on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Tickets are available at citywinery.com/nashville.
