CMT GIANTS: ALABAMA,” a star-studded salute celebrating the extraordinary career and music of one of the most successful and iconic country groups of all time, will premiere this Thursday, August 15th at 8p/7c exclusively on CMT.

Music’s biggest names, including Blake Shelton ft.Steve Wariner,Brad Paisley,Jamey Johnson,Jason Aldean,Little Big Town,Old Dominion,Pam Tillis &Lorrie Morgan,Riley Green,and Sam Hunt perform some of the band’s most legendary hits at this once-in-a-lifetime tribute event. 

The following songs were performed live before an invite-only audience at Belmont’s Fisher Center in Nashville: 

  • Alabama – “Mountain Music” + “My Home’s in Alabama”
  • Blake Shelton ft. Steve Wariner + Kara Britz – “Old Flame”
  • Brad Paisley – “Old Alabama”
  • Jamey Johnson – “Angels Among Us”
  • Jason Aldean – “Love In the First Degree”
  • Little Big Town – “The Closer You Get”
  • Old Dominion – “Roll On”
  • Pam Tillis + Lorrie Morgan – “Feels So Right”
  • Riley Green – “Dixieland Delight” 
  • Sam Hunt – “Song of the South”

Evander Holyfield,Lionel Richie, Luke BryanMartina McBride,Vince Gill and more made special appearances (both in-person and virtually) to share personal stories reflecting on Alabama’s forever impact on music, blended alongside rare photos, performance footage and interviews from the vault – plus an all-new sit down with Alabama themselves reflecting on their storied career. 

The special will be available the next day on CMT VOD (Friday, August 16) with subsequent encores on CMT MUSIC and MTV LIVE
