Lemmy Immortalized in New Illustrated Book of Stories

Metal

Do you want a piece of the late, great Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead fame? Well, if you aren’t lucky enough to be one of the few friends that were given his ashes, you can have the next best thing with the new book that Z2 has put together as a tribute to the late frontman.

According to Z2, the 176-page book No Remorse: The Illustrated True Stories of Lemmy Kilmister and Motörhead contains stories from musicians including Lars Ulrich, Slash, and Chrissie Hynde, writers like Neil Gaiman, pro-wrestlers like Triple H, and bandmates including Phil Campbell, Mickey Dee, and Slim Jim Phantom regarding the rock god. The book features a forward by Lemmy’s friend and rockstar in his own right Dave Grohl. The book then pairs each story with an acclaimed illustrator to bring the stories to life. You’d think that some of Lemmy’s escapades might be too explicit to illustrate, but apparently not.

In a statement reported on by Louder, Josh Bernstein, who is the president of Z2 and co-editor and designer of the book, says:

“Anyone who ever crossed paths with Lemmy Kilmister left with a very unique experience and stories to share for a lifetime. The outpouring of those stories from his friends and family, paired with some of underground art’s greatest illustrators, brings Lemmy and Motörhead roaring back to life on every page.”

There are several special editions of the book for purchase. There’s the version that comes with a double-LP of the Motörhead compilation album No Remorse on white vinyl along with an oversized graphic novel about Lemmy. There’s the Backstage Edition which comes with a framed Motörhead World Tour Backstage pass, one of only 25 in existence. Then there’s the already sold out ultimate version, the All Access edition that comes with the graphic novel, the double-LP, and an artist pass from Lemmy’s 70th Birthday at Whisky A Go-Go. With all those packages, you’d think there would be one that contains Lemmy’s ashes, but apparently not.

You can order whichever version you want from Z2.
