Maul Drop Ultra-Brutal New Track

Metal

Your weekend just got brutal. Death metal masterminds Maul just shared a new song, “The Sacred And The Profane,” which you can stream below.

The track is from the band’s 20 Buck Spin debut EP, Desecration And Enchantment, out November 17. This is their debut single from the release, and it is skin-peelingly heavy. If this is any indication of what’s to come from the rest of the record, we absolutely can’t wait to get our skulls crushed.

The much-anticipated EP will consist of three songs, this and two others. However, only the cassette version of the release will contain all three songs, as the third song will not be digitally streaming. The EP was recorded in May 2023 at Signaturetone Recordings in Minneapolis, the same studio that has worked with bands like Ulthar, Obsequiae, and Sunless.

It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Adam Tucker, and songs feature guest synth and sample work by Isthmus Ov Styx and cover art from S. Deloria Black Wolf.

Hailing from Fargo, North Dakota, the death metal bruisers have been at it since 2017 and are renown for putting out a ton of music vide split, EP, and other various short drops, and not so much by full record. Their full-length, Seraphic Punishment came out in 2022. While we’d love to hear another full record, we’re happy as long as they keep making music.
