2023 MTV EMA Nominations Announced: R&B Edition

The 2023 MTV EMA nominees have been revealed. Alt-R&B star SZA is among this year’s nominees with six nods, including Best Song for her smash hit “Kill Bill.” She follows behind pop sensation Taylor Swift, who has seven nominations.

Global superstar Beyoncé is up for Best Live. Her nomination comes just days after concluding her massive Renaissance World TourThe 56-date tour earned more than $579 million worldwide, according to Live Nation. 

SZA is also nominated for Best Live. She’s currently on the second leg of her SOS Tour, which wraps Oct. 29 in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Rising R&B trio FLO are nominated in two categories, including Best Group and Best New. 

Chris Brown is nominated for Best R&B. The category also includes SZA and Usher, among others.

The 2023 MTV EMA will broadcast live on Sunday, Nov. 5, from Paris Nord Villepinte.

It will mark the first time the award show has been hosted in Paris since 1995. The ceremony will also be available on demand on Paramount+
