Jozzy Releases ‘Songs for Women (Deluxe Edition)’ Album

R&B

Jozzy has more to say. The rising singer/songwriter has released a deluxe edition of her debut EP, Songs for Women, Free Game for N****s.

The expanded edition features two bonus tracks, plus a new mix of “Commotion” by Siobhan Bell and a sped-up version of “Favorite Shirt.”

On “Like Me,” produced by Deputy, Jozzy encourages a potential lover to be open with her feelings.

Regarding the track, Jozzy explains to Rated R&B, “Deputy, one of the dopest producers, sent me a beat one night and I had just got off the phone with a friend of mine. The two of us had a mutual crush on each other, and I literally told her ‘just say you like me.’ It happened perfectly because the song sounds flirty.”

“Since 21,” the second of the two new tracks, offers encouragement to women who are patiently waiting for the right person to give their heart to. “[It’s] for every woman who feels jaded by love because they know they’re not for everyone. She’s a prize, so instead of settling – she’s cool staying single for however long,” explains Jozzy.

Jozzy released the standard version of Songs for Women in February via Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Love Records.

“This project is about sharing the true emotions women feel navigating relationships while giving men honest game at the same time,” Jozzy explained. “I understand both sides of the spectrum, because I have both masculine and feminine energy, which is why I believe the world will relate to the entire body of work.”
