Ty Dolla $ign and Chris Brown Share ‘Motion (Remix)’

R&B

Ty Dolla $ign is adding more steam behind his latest single “Motion.” The genre-bending singer/songwriter has enlisted Chris Brown for his “Motion (Remix).”

Brown comes in the second, singing, “Startin’ me up with a touch / Takin’ over mе and I can’t get enough / Love that energy you bring, girl, who’s your plug? /Give you what you need, let me be your teacher,” Brown sings in the second verse.

The original version of “Motion” was released in early June. It is the lead single from Ty’s upcoming EP that will release this summer on Atlantic Records.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Ty explained why he selected “Motion” as the EP’s lead single.

“This one will just make you move automatic right when it come on. Really since Free TC, I had a dance song on there, my first album, so I’ve always been into that bag. Right now, this just was one of the hottest ones that was on my hard drive,” he shared. “I was like, ‘It’s time for this one, summertime.’ Different tempos, but doing my kind of music, just having fun.”

On Sept. 15, Ty will kick off his More Motion Less Emotion Tour in San Diego, California, at Soma. He will be supported by Leon Thomas, who is signed to his EZMNY Records imprint, and rapper Symba. They will hit 30 major cities in North America, including Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Montreal and Chicago.
