Jon Vinyl and Jeremy Passion Share New Song ‘Thinkin Bout You’

R&B

Jon Vinyl has joined forces with fellow rising R&B singer Jeremy Passion for a lush new track titled “Thinkin Bout You.”

The silky-smooth tune captures Vinyl and Passion in deep thought, as they ponder whether they still occupy space in a former lover’s mind. While the song presents a sense of longing, it’s confronted with the reality of how their relationship didn’t work despite their efforts.

“Back and forth, you know we are going under / I’ll pull strings for you, anything for you / But I know that it’s never enough for you / Broke my heart twice, my love,” Vinyl croons.

Passion appears in the third verse, singing, “Last night, dreamt I still had a place in your mind / But we both know there are no vacancies.”

“Thinkin Bout You” is the follow-up to Vinyl’s “No Feelings,” released in April. Both tracks are expected to appear on Vinyl’s upcoming project, due this fall.

In February, Vinyl released his “Pressure (Remix)” featuring Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Kenyon Dixon. The original version of the track appears on Vinyl’s 2022 EP, Palisade

Palisade is a curated soundtrack of my thoughts and emotions,” explained Vinyl. “A lot of people aren’t comfortable confronting their feelings. When they’re upset, they lash out. When they’re happy, the whole world sees it on the gram. There’s almost this subconscious friction between what one feels versus how they choose to act on those feelings.”
