Tony Iommi Releases New Song + Fragrance, Reveals He Wrote a Song for the New Ozzy Album

Metal

Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi has released “Scent of the Dark,” which is described as “A fusion of new Iommi music, video and unique fragrance blended by Xerjoff’s Sergio Momo with major input from Tony.”

You can check out the song below. There doesn’t seem to be a buy link for the fragrance as of yet.

Meanwhile, in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Iommi reveals that he wrote one of the songs on Ozzy Osbourne’s forthcoming album:

“As you’ve probably read, I worked with Ozzy for his album. I wrote the whole track and played on it and played the solo on it. It’s horrible, really. … No. I’m joking. No, it’s good. It’s really good. And I like what Ozzy sang on it. I think he did a really good job. And I think they had Chad [Smith] play drums on it. I’ve left it in their hands now.”

Ozzy’s new album is once against being produced by Andrew Watts (Post Malone), who was also at the helm for Ordinary Man. There are reportedly fifteen songs already recorded. The album will include Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) on drums and Robert Trujillo (Metallica) on bass. In addition to Iommi, guitarists set to appear on the record include Zakk Wylde (who reportedly plays on every track on the album), iconic guitarist Jeff Beck, and iconic guitarist/total dipshit Eric Clapton.

No word on a release date yet.
