Cynthia Erivo Is ‘Glowing Up’ on New Song

R&B

Just weeks ahead of her new album, Ch. 1 Vs. 1, Cynthia Ervio has shared another new track titled “Glowing Up.”

Throughout its duration, she reflects on victoriously shining after conquering the battles that life has thrown at her

Speaking on the background of “Glowing Up,” Erivo stated, “I wanted to write a song that felt triumphant because I’ve done so much growing in these last few years and I’ve experienced so many wonderful things. I wanted to celebrate that.”

“Glowing Up” follows the handful of previously released songs: “Alive,” Day Off,” and “The Good.” They will appear on Ervio’s forthcoming album, out September 17, via Verve Records/Universal Music Canada.

She recently performed as a part of the TODAY Show’s 2021 Citi Music Series. You can watch it below.

When Erivo isn’t making music, she stays in her acting bag. Recently, she was cast in new ’70s drama titled Steel. She also will serve as executive producer.

The new role is subsequent to her role as Aretha Franklin in National Geographic’s anthology series, Genius. It landed her a pending 2021 Primetime Emmys nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
