YoungBoy Never Broke Again rarely grants interviews these days. However, Funny Marco jetted to South Korea for Marco’s first trip outside the U.S. to meet up with the reclusive rapper for an episode of his Open Thoughts series, which arrived on Tuesday (Aug. 11).
“It’s very safe here and clean,” YB said of his move to South Korea. After growing up in Baton Rouge and being held on house arrest in Utah, fans shouldn’t expect to see YoungBoy spending too much time in America in the near future.
The 26-year-old rapper opened up on a multitude of topics, including his plans when it comes to new music, touring, his relationship with his mother, medical issues and things as simple as hating hamsters.
As far as his next project, YoungBoy revealed the name of his upcoming album to be All Dogs Go to Heaven, which he expects to be released before his 27th birthday in October.
“I think I’m gonna release my album before my birthday,” YB said. “All I know is it seems like a lot of women are against me right now, like I ever gave a f–k.”
Amid his overseas travels, YoungBoy has kept busy when it comes to music. He released his Slime Cry album in January, which reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200, and didn’t waste much time following up with ML2 (More Leaks 2) in June (No. 13 peak on the Billboard 200).

He’s Never Living in the U.S. Again
After growing up in Baton Rouge and spending time on house arrest in Utah, YoungBoy says he’s done living in the U.S. Funny Marco interviewed YB in South Korea, where the rapper is currently posted up. When YoungBoy canceled his Rolling Loud Orlando set in May, he was spotted hanging out in Paris. “Never in life,” he replied when asked if he’d consider moving back to America.

Performed With a Swollen Heart on 2025 Tour
YoungBoy also revealed he was going through some health issues while on the road for his MASA Tour last year. YB stated that he was diagnosed with a swollen heart, but he didn’t tell anyone amid risking a cancellation of the trek and powered through it.
“On tour, a doctor told me the left side of my heart was swollen and I never told nobody,” he said. “I just kept doing every show. I finished my tour out like that. My heart kind of still is enlarged on this little side. That explains the music, though, right? She’s hurting.”

He’s Got ‘One or Two’ Albums Left
After releasing a pair of projects in 2026, YB said he’s got “one or two” albums left to be released and then he’s closing the book on his career, at least as far as LPs go. YoungBoy has released nine solo albums to date, two of which topped the Billboard 200. He revealed the title of his next album is All Dogs Go to Heaven, which will arrive before his birthday in October.

Not on Speaking Terms With His Mother
YoungBoy opened up about the fractured relationship he has with his mother, and revealed they’re currently not speaking.
“I think my relationship with my mama used to be a big part of my anger until I told myself it’s just certain s–t you can’t fix,” he explained. “Certain people you’re not going to just bond with in a way that you expect or the way that you desire. Basically just long for and just hope for.
YB continued: “I started loving my mom from a distance. Today I’ll never speak to her again. We’ll never talk again. I know this for a fact, but I love her. Like, I care. I hope she knows that too. I want her to know that.”

He’s Touring One More Time
When it comes to touring, YoungBoy said he’s got “one for sure” left in him in the future. Then he’s hanging up his mic for good. “I’ll go on tour one more time throughout my whole life, and then that’s it,” he said. YB also revealed he was making about $1.5 million per show while on his headlining MASA Tour in 2025. “For each show on the MASA Tour, I got $1.5 [million]. Nothing less than $1.2 [million],” YoungBoy stated.
