Watch the New Crobot Video or “Everyone Dies”

Metal

Is death less sad if we all go at once during an extinction-level event? That’s ostensibly the premise of “Everyone Dies,” the new song from Crobot: “Nobody has to cry if everyone dies.”

Fair enough.

Whether or not you reject the premise or not, the song kicks a ton of ass. The band calls the song “our attempt to sit at the dinner table with Queen whilst eating a healthy portion of Meatloaf,” which is pretty spot-on. It features, and was co-written by, Steel Panther’s Stix Zadinia*, so I think it has a lot of glam metal power ballad influence, too.

As a bonus, the video is highly entertaining and makes the most of what was clearly a shoestring budget.

Check out “Everyone Dies” below. The track will appear on Crobot’s new EP, Rat Child, which is out tomorrow, June 19.

*Yeah I’m still disappointed in Steel Panther, too. But I don’t wanna punish Crobot for someone else’s blunder, y’know?
