Last month, Tool frontman and lovable rapscallion Maynard James Keenan played a little Jenga behind drummer Danny Carey’s kit mid-show, with disaaaaastrous results. Now, Maynard has decided to take on the medical profession, donning scrubs and a mask in order to play Operation behind Carey’s drum set. We have to warn you: what you’re about to see…is grisly.
As you’ll see in the video below from Maynard’s Instagram, Dr. Keenan Medicine Woman takes his time getting his scrubs, gloves, and mask on before operating on poor Cavity Sam (for real, that’s the name of the Operation guy, we had to look it up). This isn’t some little Jenga sesh here, this is about a man’s humorously-shaped organs! Unfortunately, Carey doesn’t give a fuck about saving lives, dammit, and smashes a gong right by Maynard during his progress. That’s when Sam flatlines, and Maynard does everything in his power to save him…but like a firefly you caught too hard, Sam’s light is on for good. God, some day Maynard wonders why he even bothers…
