Video Premiere: Season to Risk – ‘Echo Chamber’

Metal

It’s been a long, long time since noise rock pioneers Season to Risk released new music (2001, to be exact, when they wrapped up a four-album run including two records on Columbia), but the Kansas City crew reformed for the live stage last year and are ready to pick up where they left off. Their new album, 1-800-MELTDOWN will feature a ton of unreleased and underheard rarities, plus the first new Season to Risk songs in two decades.

“Echo Chamber” is one of those songs, and you can listen to it now. Its bass-heavy, discordant sound reflects the theme of the song, which speaks to the current political situation in the United States. The jumpy editing of the video adds yet alone layer of kinetic energy to “Echo Chamber.”

Whether you were rocking with Season to Risk in 1993 or this is your first exposure, now’s your chance to catch up. 1-800-MELTDOWN is out on April 12 via Init Records.
