Video Premiere: Nightborn – “Aphelion Dusk”

Nightborn

Nightborn are back with a video for “Aphelion Dusk,” a song from their upcoming Hammer of the Heretic EP, out this September.

The EP features Simon McKay of Agonist on drums and Hubert Wiecek (ex-Decapitated, Dieth) on bass. The new song sees them channeling their signature thrash sound with a touch of nostalgic melo-death energy and a lot of brute force.

Nightborn initially formed in 2012 as a one-man project of Arda K. The goal was to blend melodic thrash and old-school death metal and breathe new life into the music.

Their first album, Skyeless, was released in 2017 and mastered in Fascination Street Studios, Sweden.

According to their press release, “Nightborn’s lyrics often deal with politically anti-system sentiments, the allure of dying and death, somberness, desperation, hatred and rage, serial killers and murder, the dark nature of human mind, nightmares and the night itself.”
