Video Premiere: Deteriorot – ‘Reanimate’

Metal

East Coast death metal OGs Deteriorot have been slugging it out in the underground for more than three decades, forming in 1990 and selectively-but-consistently putting out new releases since 1992. Their latest album comes in the form of The Rebirth, released last year. To continue spreading their songs, Deteriorot are releasing a series of music videos from the album; the latest, “Reanimate,” is streaming below.

As the band tells Decibel, the video for “Reanimate” is inspired by the works of renowned horror director George A. Romero (Night of the Living DeadDawn of the Dead, et al) and fits perfectly with Deteriorot’s brand of groovy old-school death metal.

“Anyone that is a lover of George Romero’s Night of The Living Dead will absolutely love this video and the song Reanimate is a perfect pairing with this,” says vocalist/guitarist Paul Zavaleta. “We thank you all and hope you love it too!”

If you’re a fan of death metal, we think you’ll find plenty to sink your zombified teeth into. You can check out more Deteriorot on Bandcamp.
