Victoria Monét to Be Honored at 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards

Victoria Monét will be receiving her much-deserved flowers at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the ceremony will return March 6 at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, California. 

Monét will receive the Rising Star Award. Other honorees include singer Tems (Breakthrough Award), rap artist Ice Spice (Hitmaker Award), pop legend Kylie Minogue (Icon Award), country singer Maren Morris (Visionary Award), pop singer Charlie XCX (Powerhouse Award), Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko (Impact Award), K-pop group NewJeans (Group of the Year Award), and Brazilian singer Luisa Sonza (Global Force Award).

“We could not be more excited to celebrate these inspiring and dynamic artists from around the world, as they move our culture forward and inspire women everywhere to push boundaries and pursue their own dreams,” says Billboard’s Editorial Director, Hannah Karp. “With the talented Tracee Ellis Ross as our host, this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards will be an unforgettable evening.”

Presenters, performers and other honorees will be announced in the coming weeks, according to Billboard.

Presale tickets to the Women in Music Awards are available now through Friday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. ET. Prices range from $89 to $279. 

The ceremony will be available for streaming on Thursday, March 7, at 8 p.m. ET at billboardwomeninmusic.com.

Before the Women in Music Awards, Monét will attend the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The singer and songwriter is nominated in seven categories, including Record of the Year (“On My Mama“), Best R&B Album (JAGUAR II) and Best New Artist.

Released Aug. 25, 2023, JAGUAR II debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart with 15,000 equivalent units sold. The album spawned her No. 1 hit “On My Mama,” produced by Deputy, D’Mile and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman.

Following the Women in Music Awards, Monét will perform at Coachella in April and Governors Ball in June.
