Victoria Monét has another hit under her belt. Her Usher-assisted “SOS (Sex on Sight)” rises to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart this week.

The Camper-produced bedroom jam debuted on the chart in late September 2024 and reached the top 10 in mid-December.

“‘WOW! ‘SOS’ just went #1 on @billboard Adult R&B Airplay charts!! @usher thank you so much for being a part of this record you are amazing and it’s an honor to share a #1 now!!” Monét wrote in a social media post.

She continued, “Thank you so much @theycallmecamper you called it! Thank youuuu to my tribe for listening, and to radio stations and Dj’s and programmers for playing this song and supporting! And thank you to my team and my RCA family!”

“SOS (Sex on Sight)” is Monét’s second No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. She achieved her first chart-topper in 2023 with her breakout hit “On My Mama,” which led the chart for three weeks.

“SOS” appears on Monét’s Jaguar II: Deluxe album, an expanded version of her Grammy-winning debut album, Jaguar IIMeanwhile, “On My Mama” was a single from the standard version.

Speaking on the former song, Monét shared, “‘SOS (Sex on Sight)‘ is about desire. It’s about the urgency you feel when you need some love, physical touch and quality attention! Sometimes that desire can feel as urgent as being rescued from a natural disaster, or in this case, rescued from your own sensual urges,” Monét explained.

She added, “Just like a storm, ‘SOS’ summons and forewarns a lover of the rainfall that is to come and welcomes the beautiful relief from that desire. It feels romantic, playful, sultry and direct. Based in fantasy and the warmest tones of R&B. It feels timeless and we hope you enjoy the escape!”

As for Usher, “SOS” is his 10th No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. He previously reached the top of the summit in 2024 with his duet “Risk It All” with H.E.R. The latter song spent two weeks at No. 1.

In other Monét news, on Feb. 19, she posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of headphones on a mixing board, signaling that she is back in the studio recording new music. She didn’t write a caption, which further adds to the suspense.
