Vastum Back from Long Hiatus with New Single

Metal

They’ve been radio silent since 2019, but finally we’ve been blessed—or cursed—with new music from Vastum.

The band’s new record, Inward To Gethsemane, is out November 10 via 20 Buck Spin. They’ve released the first single from this album, “Indwelling Archon.”

Of the single, Vastum vocalist Daniel Butler says: “‘Indwelling Archon’. It’s a song about birth and loneliness in the pleroma.

Inward To Gethsemane was mixed and recorded by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, and features artwork once again by Butler, photography by Chris Johnston, and layout by Dan Fried.

This is the band’s first record since 2019’s Orficial Purge, and from what we can hear from this single, we are in for more soul-destroying riffs and madness-inducing lyrics. We can’t wait for November.
