VanJess is keeping it in the family for their “Slow Down (Remix)” featuring their Keep Cool labelmate Lucky Daye.
Sticking to the original sultry production, Daye sings on the new first verse, “You got me taking my time / Pressing rewind, just to make the moment longer / Can you slow down the time from 9 to 9 / I love how you be making me stronger / Inch by inch, got your scent on my lips / Smell the flowers / Got me confining / I could never fight it / All your power.”
VanJess’ “Slow Down (Remix)” marks the duo’s first collaboration with Lucky Daye. The original version was featured on the sisters’ latest EP Homegrown, released in February. The EP includes collaborations with KAYTRANADA, Phony Ppl, Devin Morrison, Jimi Tents and Garren.
