Usher has another No. 1 hit on his hands.
The R&B superstar’s newly-released single “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage opens atop Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart.
“Good Good” is Usher’s second No. 1 single on this chart and his first to debut at the top. His Juicy J-assisted “I Don’t Mind” led the chart for two weeks in 2015.
Additionally, “Good Good” has made commendable first-time placements on the following charts: the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales (No. 4), Hot R&B Songs (No. 4), R&B Streaming Songs (No. 14), Digital Song Sales (No. 14), R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 15) and Adult R&B Airplay (No. 26).
Earlier this year, Usher topped the latter chart for two weeks with “GLU.” The bedroom banger also claimed the top position at R&B radio.
On the Billboard Hot 100, “Good Good” launches at No. 68, marking his 53rd entry on the chart for popular singles.
“Good Good” is the second single released by Usher this year. The track was produced by Mel & Mus and released on Aug. 4 via mega, Usher and L.A. Reid’s new imprint, in partnership with Larry Jackson’s newly-minted company, gamma.
Usher’s ninth album, set to release this fall, includes “Good Good” and “GLU.”
He just confirmed the release of “Boyfriend” on Aug. 16, which will feature a Ricky Alvarez-directed video starring Keke Palmer.
His forthcoming single seems to be inspired by their controversial meetup during his Las Vegas residency, which caused Palmer’s partner and father of her child to publicly criticize her on social media.
Usher will begin his European residency at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, France on Sept. 24, with the residency concluding on Oct. 5.
He will then resume his My Way: The Las Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM from Oct. 11 to Oct. 28.
