Usher Performs ‘Good Good’ for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

R&B

Usher is on the grind. After topping another radio chart, the R&B mainstay visited BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and delivered a beautiful rendition of “Best Part” by H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar.

Usher’s silky vocals, backed by an incredible band and UK vocalists Serena Prince and Teni Tinks, create an irresistible urge for him to record a studio version of this staple from H.E.R. and Caesar.

“Best Part” is lifted from Caesar’s 2019 debut album, Freudian, and H.E.R.’s self-titled 2017 project.

The duet spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart (previously known as Adult R&B Songs). It also won a Grammy and went 6x multi-platinum by the RIAA.

Circling back to Usher, he not only treated audiences to music from others, but he also performed his new music. He sang his hot single “Good Good,” which features Summer Walker and 21 Savage.

The Mel & Mus-produced track is the official lead single from Usher’s forthcoming ninth album, Coming Home, which arrives Feb. 11, 2024.

Good Good” recently climbed to No. 1 on rhythmic radio, marking the second format where the song led. It previously topped R&B radio for one week in September.

Since its Aug. 4 release, “Good Good” has made strides on various Billboard charts, including R&B Digital Song Sales and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. It spent two weeks atop the latter chart, where Usher now has 17 chart-topping hits.

As mentioned previously, Usher will release his long-awaited Coming Home album in winter 2024.

The album arrives the same day he takes the stage for the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Coming Home is the follow-up to Usher’s 2016 album, Hard II Love, released on RCA Records.

His impending album, which consists of 20 tracks, will be released on mega, Usher’s imprint with L.A. Reid, in partnership with Larry Jackson’s gamma. label.

“We’ve put a lot of thought and creativity into this new album to tell a story that is open to interpretation and that will connect with people in different ways,” said Usher.

He added, “I know this has been a long time coming for my fans and what I’ll say is that all good things come to those who wait. I hope you enjoy it once you hear it.”

Usher is currently performing his My Way: The Las Vegas Residency at Dolby Live until Dec. 2.
