Usher Announces New Single ‘Good Good’

R&B

Usher is set to release his new single “Good Good” featuring 21 Savage and Summer Walker this Friday, Aug. 4.

The upcoming track, produced by the Grammy-nominated duo Mel & Mus, includes writing credits from Usher, Tauren Stovall, Paul “Ghost” Dawson and more.

“Good Good” will follow Usher’s previous single “GLU,” which spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. “GLU” marked the iconic singer’s seventh chart-topper on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. The song also topped R&B radio.

Both songs will appear on Usher’s highly awaited untitled ninth album, set to arrive this fall on mega, his and L.A. Reid’s new imprint, in partnership with Larry Jackson’s newly-minted company gamma.

On Sept. 24, Usher will launch his European residency at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne Billancourt, France. The residency concludes Oct. 5.

Once he returns, the R&B superstar will kick off the next leg of his critically-acclaimed Usher My Way: The Las Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The series of shows runs from Oct. 11 through Oct. 28.

Ahead of his residencies, Usher will perform at iHeartRadio’s third annual Living Black! event on Aug. 2 at Market Street in Inglewood, California. It will feature additional performances by Miguel, Coco Jones, GloRilla and more.

In recent news, Usher was honored with the SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award in July for being among the most-stream creators in the company’s 20-year history.

“Usher has been making incredible chart-topping music for almost 30 years, and it is an honor to acknowledge his rightful place among the greatest artists of the era,” said Michael Huppe, president and CEO of SoundExchange.

His award came two months after receiving an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College
