Ukrainian Black Metallers White Ward Auction Off Rare Test Pressings to Aid the War Effort

Metal

The metal community is certainly not immune to the effects of Russian president Vladimir Putin’s current invasion of Ukraine. While several bands are raising money through various means, Ukrainian acts like Jinjer continue to make difficult sacrifices for their families and homeland. Now, post-black metal act White Ward are auctioning off rare test pressings of two of their records, with all proceeds going to the war effort.

White Ward will auction off test pressings of 2017’s Futility Report and 2019’s Love Exchange Failure via eBay. The auctions end on April 6th, 3:51 PM CET.

The band released the following statement:

“Friends, you all know what is happening in Ukraine now. We try to support our country and the army as much as possible. That’s why we decided to put Futility Report and Love Exchange Failure test presses up for auction. These records were made just in few copies and never got sold. All money from the sales will go to support our country in this fight against Russian military aggression.”
