Tinashe and Chlöe Tease ‘Nasty’ Remix: Listen

R&B

It looks like Tinashe has found someone to match her freak. The singer teased a new remix of her rising hit “Nasty” with Chlöe Bailey.

On Tuesday (July 16), Chlöe took to the app formerly known as Twitter to share a snippet of the collaboration.

The video clip shows Chlöe, dressed in her Mas costume, singing along to her new verse.

“Is somebody gonna match my freak / Touch my body ’til my knees turn weak / You ain’t even gotta ask me, ask me / You know I’m down seven days of the week,” she sings on the Ricky Reed and Zack Sekoff production.

Tinashe reposted the video to her 1.1 million followers on X. “There she isssss,” she wrote with a heart-eyes emoji.

Tinashe and Chlöe’s “Nasty (Remix)” snippet comes three days after Tinashe shared a teaser image of what appears to be two upcoming remixes — “Nasty Girl Remix” and “Nasty XXX” — with the featured artists’ names blurred.

On July 5, Tinashe released a remix pack for “Nasty” featuring six versions of the flirty track, including one with Kaytranada.

The Match My Freak EP also features DJ Tunez, Wuki, UNIIQU3, Jane Remover, OG Ron C, and DJ Candlestick.

At publication time, “Nasty” is No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its sixth week and has peaked at No. 61.

Following viral domination across social platforms, “Nasty” debuted at No. 90 on the Hot 100 in June. It marked Tinashe’s first solo entry on the popular singles chart.

Tinashe released “Nasty” on April 12, ahead of her Coachella performance. The song debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart and has since peaked at No. 2.

“This is that all summer long kinda BOP!” said Tinashe. “It’s meant to make you feel sexy, confident, let loose and maybe even unleash some of that sluttiness inside you. We all need a daily reminder that we are our own muses, here’s the inspiration to embrace it.”

“Nasty” is the lead single from Tinashe’s upcoming album Quantum Baby, out Aug. 16 via Ricky Reed’s Nice Life Recording Company.

Quantum Baby, the sequel to 2023’s BB/ANG3L, will also include the second single, “Getting No Sleep.”

Chlöe, who was recently spotted at the Saint Lucia Carnival, is preparing to release her second solo album, Trouble in Paradise.

The album, which does not have a confirmed release date yet, will include the singles “FYS” and “Boy Bye.”

Regarding the latter song, Chlöe explained, “‘Boy Bye’ is an anthem for anyone who needs to get rid of someone toxic and draining from their life.”

She added, “It’s liberating and free. That’s how it feels to finally let go of dead weight that’s been keeping you down. Instead of being sad about releasing what’s not good for me, I celebrate it.”

Trouble in Paradise is the follow-up to Chlöe’s solo debut album, In Pieces, released in 2023.

The album featured the singles “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel” with Chris Brown.
