The Wombats have announced a huge outdoor UK show with Doves and Hard-Fi – find all the details below.

The Liverpool band, whose sixth album ‘Oh! The Ocean’ arrived in February, will perform at Englefield House in Pangbourne near Reading, Berkshire on Thursday July 17. It’ll come as part of this year’s Heritage Live summer gig series.

They are joined on the line-up by special guests Doves, Hard-Fi and Alfie Templeman.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST next Thursday (April 10) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time on Tuesday (8) by signing up here.

Adult ticket prices will range from £44 to £49 (excluding ticket agent booking fees). Check out the announcement posts here:

The Wombats recently announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for this winter, with support coming from The Snuts. They have also been confirmed as the final headliner for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2025.

Additionally, the group will make appearances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Neighbourhood Weekender, Kendal Calling, Y Not, Boardmasters, Mad Cool and other festivals over the summer.

‘Oh! The Ocean’ was made with help from St. Vincent and Death Cab For Cutie producer John Congleton, and inspired by a revelatory experience that frontman Matthew ‘Murph’ Murphy had on a beach during a recent family holiday.

Speaking about advancing to arena tours during an interview with NME last October, he explained: “The bigger the crowd, the more comfortable I feel. The small ones freak me out, because I can see everyone’s face.

“I can see the boyfriend that’s been dragged along against his will. I can see the first album fans, or I can see the people who know us from TikTok and were expecting a Euro dance track. I can see all of these things, whereas when it’s a big crowd, I just see one quite happy, energetic being.”
