The Shindellas Share ‘Last Night Was Good for My Soul’ Video

R&B

R&B trio The Shindellas have unveiled the video for their latest single “Last Night Was Good for My Soul.”

The video, directed by NitaInNashville, was filmed on an iPhone 13. The fun-filled clip sees The Shindellas soaking up the sun at a pool party, where food is grilling, drinks are flowing and hips are moving.

It features a cameo from Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony, together known as Louis York, who co-wrote and co-produced the infectious groove.

The Shindellas’ video arrives just as the song makes its debut on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart this week at No. 25. It’s The Shindellas’ first chart entry on Billboard.

“Last Night Was Good for My Soul” is the lead single from The Shindellas’ upcoming project, set to arrive later this year on Weirdo Workshop.

The untitled album will follow The Shindellas’ 2021 debut album, Hits That Stick Like Grits, which included tracks such as “Fear Has No Place,” “When You’re Lonely” and “Volcano Love.”

Hits That Stick Like Grits was ranked No. 2 on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list. The album was described as “delicious” and “slow-cooked to perfection.”

The Shindellas recently performed at the 2023 Black Music Honors, which was taped last month. They delivered a live rendition of “Shame” as a tribute to Evelyn “Champagne” King, who was presented with the R&B Music Icon Award.

The ceremony airs Saturday (June 3) at 8 p.m. ET on The Stellar Network, with national broadcast syndication from June 10 through July 2. It will also air on Bounce TV on June 19.

On June 23, The Shindellas will perform at Levitt at the Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
