‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s Daughter is Engaged!

The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond had some big news to share in her blog post on Sunday (Aug. 4): Her daughter Paige is getting married.

Paige — who’s turning 25 at the end of August — officially got engaged to her boyfriend David Anderson over the weekend, after a surprise proposal in Dallas, Texas. In her blog post, Drummond says that she’s been helping David plan the whole thing for about six weeks — and that it’s been tough to keep the secret from the world.

“In a day or two, I’m going to share the behind-the-scenes drama involved with pulling off a whole top-secret engagement,” she writes, “the scheming we did with David, and the outright lies and deception we all had to throw her way over the past couple of weeks to make sure she didn’t grow suspicious.

“It was cops and robbers, it was cloak and dagger, it was an epic action adventure movie!” she jokes.

Fortunately, it seems like their hard work paid off, and Paige truly was surprised when David finally popped the question. The bride-to-be and her mom both shared a few images from the special day, which turned into a family party to celebrate the newly-betrothed couple.

In an Instagram Stories slide, Drummond shared a photo of the happy couple. Over on her Instagram Stories, Paige also celebrated her news with Instagram Stories photos, writing “Engaged” along with a heart emoji over a photo that shows off her engagement ring.

Paige also shared a glimpse into the festivities that ensued, including a white and pink bouquet of roses and a sign that reads “Let’s Celebrate!” along with the couple’s names and the date they got engaged.

“Love!!!” Paige wrote over the photo in that slide.

Though Drummond had a sense of humor about the logistics of pulling off a surprise engagement, she did get a little sentimental about the feeling of watching her child say “yes” to her husband-to-be.

“We are so happy!” she writes. “Paige and David are such a great match, a terrific team! Paige is my strong, mighty, wonderful daughter and the fact that she found a person she wants to spend her life with is a pretty indescribable feeling.”
