The Isley Brothers Perform for NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

R&B

The Isley Brothers are the latest musical guests to share their talents on NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.

The legendary group, composed of Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley, filmed their performance at their home studio in St. Louis, Mo. Backed by R&B duo JS (Kandy Isley and Kimberly Johnson), The Isley Brothers kicked off their four-song set with their quiet storm classic “Between the Sheets,” the title track to their 1983 album.

They smoothly transitioned into “Footsteps in the Dark” and “For the Love of You,” before closing out the show with “That Lady.”

Following their Verzuz appearance in April, The Isley Brothers released their feel-good anthem “Friends and Family” featuring Snoop Dogg, along with an accompanying video.

“Friends and Family” is The Isley Brother’s first musical release since their joint album with Santana, Power of Peace, which dropped in 2017.
