Tamar Braxton Shares New Holiday Song ‘You Bring the Love’

R&B

Tamar Braxton has returned to make the season bright with “You Bring The Love,” a new holiday song produced by musical duo, Louis York, composed of Claude Kelly and Chucky Harmony.

Braxton co-wrote the track, presented by We Sound Crazy Podcast, with Louis York. The podcast features co-hosts Kelly and Harmony alongside Phil Thornton and Tamone Bacon.

In her sentimental ballad, Braxton beautifully sings of the joy her heart feels when her special someone’s love brings happiness during the December season.

Braxton is quite familiar with releasing songs with a winter theme. Two months after releasing her sophomore album, Love and War, she dropped her first holiday album, Winter Loversland.

It offered a combination of Christmas classics and songs like the R&B-inspired jam “She Can Have You.”

On Billboard, Winter Loversland debuted at No. 7 on the Top R&B Albums chart and No. 8 on the Top Holiday Albums chart. It also started at No. 43 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Two years later, in 2015, Tamar reunited with her sisters (Toni, Traci, Trina, and Towanda) to release Braxton Family Christmas, which coincided with season four of their WE tv reality show Braxton Family Values.

“You Bring The Love” is Braxton’s second song release of 2023. It follows her comeback single, “Changed,” released on her birthday (March 17).

The SWV-inspired song began at No. 24 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart after its release. In late May, it climbed to the top 10, landing at No. 9. After a fierce battle, it eventually reached its peak at No. 2.

The festive new song comes on the heels of Braxton announcing the second leg of her Love and War 10th Anniversary Tour.

The album’s milestone was celebrated in September before the tour’s first leg was launched in mid-October. Part one of the tour has concluded. Special guests included Tiffany Evans, Nivea, Drew Sidora, and Candiace.

The second leg of the tour will feature five new dates, starting on Dec. 8 in Orlando, Florida.

After shows throughout December, the tour will resume at the beginning of the year and continue until Jan. 20, 2024. Teairra Mari will be the special guest at the final stop.

In other news, Braxton recently achieved two new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her songs “All The Way Home” and “The One.”

The former has now been certified platinum (one million equivalent units), while the latter has been certified gold, (500,000 equivalent units).

Additionally, Braxton plays herself in the BET+ original movie Christmas Angel, directed by LazRael Lison and co-starring DaniLeigh, Romeo, and Elise Neal.
