T-Pain and Kehlani Earn Top 10 on Urban Radio With ‘I Like Dat’

R&B

T-Pain and Kehlani‘s new collaborative effort “I Like Dat” has entered the top 10 on the urban radio chart.

As a lead artist, this recent victory marks the rapper-turnt-sanga’s first since 2011’s “5 O’Clock” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen. It’s even better news for Kehlani, who now earns her first top 10 entry as a lead act and second overall, followed by Cardi B’s hit “Ring,” which held the number-one position in fall 2018.

“I Like Dat” is growing in airplay on urban radio and in plays on Spotify. It has surpassed 13.5 million streams since its May release.

In July, T-Pain hopped on Lil’ Mo’s confident anthem “Shining Star” featuring Fatman Scoop. He previously appeared on Omarion’s 2020 song “Can You Hear Me?” and released a handful of his own tracks, such as “Get Up” and “Wake Up Dead” with Chris Brown.

Kehlani is getting played on urban and R&B radio. “Ur Best Friend,” the new song from Kiana Ledé, which features Kehlani, receives love on the latter format. She directed the video for the song.

Last month, Kehlani added her first mixtape, Cloud 19, to streaming platforms for the first time. The month prior, she provided vocals for Ant Clemons’ new track “Section” and appeared on Amorphous’ debut EP Things Take Shape.
