Surprise! ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Star John Schneider Just Got Married

Country

Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider didn’t just find love again one year after becoming a widower — he’s gotten married.

The actor and Dee Dee Sorvino were married on Tuesday (July 23) in Las Vegas. She, too, is a widow, losing actor-husband Paul Sorvino in July 2022.

  • Sorvino is Schneider’s fourth wife.
  • 53-year-old Alicia Allain, died on Feb. 21, 2023 at the couple’s home in Holden, La., after battling breast cancer for four years.
  • They’d been married since 2019.

Schneider revealed he was dating again in May on Grace Begins, the Podcast.

“God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who [gets] it, who understands,” Schneider says. “Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it — everything” (quote via Fox News).

“Then just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy Dame over there.”

For awhile he kept the identify of his new lover a secret, but they’ve appeared together publicly several times in recent months. It’s the latest turn in an attention-grabbing year for Bo Duke. Since late December 2023, he’s called for President Biden to be hanged, bashed Beyonce, revealed that someone swiped his General Lee vehicle and indicated that someone stole his late wife’s ashes.

Musically, he released an album in 2024 that builds off his sporadic success on Billboard charts. Only older country fans will recall his four No. 1 country hits in the 1980s, “I’ve Been Around Enough to Know,” “Country Girls,” “What’s a Memory Like You (Doing in a Love Like This)” and “You’re the Last Thing I Needed Tonight.”
