Stranger Things‘ final season is getting closer with each passing day, and as the Netflix hit’s fifth chapter approaches, co-creator Ross Duffer is setting the record straight on episode run-times, offering fans an understanding of how things will lookfor the beloved characters dwelling in Hawkins, Indiana.

Along with a new featurette and other teases, such as photos, casting, episode titles, and more, plenty of information about Stranger Things Season 5 has been unveiled. Does Stranger Things Season 5 have a trailer?

Stranger Things Season 5 doesn’t have a full trailer yet, but Netflix previously released a Season 5 promo during Tudum, and in July, the streamer dropped an official teaser, which offers a massive peek into what’s on the horizon. The teaser hints at the invasion of The Upside Down and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) in Hawkins, Indiana, where some of the town’s bravest citizens are preparing to go to battle. When will Stranger Things Season 5 premiere?

Stranger Things Season 5 will officially premiere in three phases, with Volume 1 landing on November 26th at 8/7c, Volume 2 on Christmas Day at 8/7c, and the finale dropping on New Year’s Eve at 8/7c. The eight-episode final chapter will arrive nearly 10 years after the series first debuted on Netflix.

The platform previously teased the show’s premiere year for Stranger Things Day, which commemorates November 6, 1983, the date Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) went missing in the Upside Down after being kidnapped by a Demogorgon. The date also marks the introduction of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), an extremely powerful young girl who teams up with Will’s friends Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) to find him. And since that announcement, Netflix had officially wrapped in late 2024.

What are the Stranger Things Season 5 episode titles and how long are they?

Among the installments are: Episode 1 – “The Crawl,” Episode 2 – “The Vanishing of…,” Episode 3 – “The Turnbow Trap,” Episode 4 – “Sorcerer,” Episode 5 – “Shock Jock,” Episode 6 – “Escape from Camazotz,” Episode 7 – “The Bridge,” and Episode 8 – “The Rightside Up.”

And despite rumors aboutStranger Things‘ upcoming episodes being two-plus hours long, Ross Duffer took a moment to set the record straight with fans by teasing the final run-time of the first three installments. According to a video posted on Duffer’s Instagram, Episode 1 will clock in at one hour and eight minutes, Episode 2 is 54 minutes long, and Episode 3 is an hour and six minutes.

What is Stranger Things Season 5 about?

The series, a love letter to ’80s classic genre films, has captured the attention of millions, as strange events unfold in the fictional Midwestern town of Hawkins, Indiana. According to Season 5’s logline, the action is set against the background of fall 1987 as Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But after the villain has vanished, it complicates their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine, and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. With the anniversary of Will’s disappearance nearing, so does a familiar dread, with the final battle looming. To end the nightmare once and for all, they’ll need to team up and stand together one last time.
