Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) lead the charge at R&B radio as “Smokin Out The Window” gives the duo another No. 1 single from their critically-acclaimed debut effort, An Evening With Silk Sonic.
Produced jointly by D’Mile and Mars, the pair’s most recent single and fan favorite gained 84 new spins since last week’s report to shoot to the summit. The track currently amasses more than 12.6 million audience impressions, drawing plays from 86 stations.
“Smokin Out The Window” is the second time Mars and .Paak stormed the top position as Silk Sonic, with last year’s breakout hit “Leave The Door Open” as their inaugural chart-topper.
Released a week ahead of An Evening With Silk Sonic, “Smokin” is Silk Sonic’s most popular song on Spotify, garnering over 146 million streams. Its supporting video continues to rise in views, surpassing 83 million watches.
An Evening With Silk Sonic was recognized on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list, ranking inside the top ten. Before that, Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels reviewed it, calling it “a sleek, well-produced album from masters of their craft.”
Silk Sonic is nominated for four 2022 Grammys, including Record and Song of the Year for “Leave The Door Open.” The track is also vying for Best R&B Song and Performance.
