Shane Embury’s Dark Sky Burial to Release New Album |

Metal

Shane Embury‘s solo project, Dark Sky Burial, just released a new record, Nascentes Morimur Morientes Nascimur, out now.

Known for his work with, of course, Napalm Death, Embury also made music with Venemous Concept, Lock Up, and Brujeria, and now, the bass player and icon is focusing on his solo work. This record is the project’s sixth album.

“This past year has been hard; my mom passing away; being away from my family… life,” Embury tells Decibel. “I recently crashed and ended up in hospital but a break down can be a break through.”

Embury also told Decibel that in terms of where this fits in with the overall scheme of his work, he considers this album “Part 1 of the Maze Quadrilogy.”

“In all of the chaos this album got made. It captures the ongoing journey towards an authentic life… there’s always more to come from me,” he says.
